I made this blog to train English, talking about things I like, to meet other girls, talk to them and learn more English... That's my opinion on this ... but I may be wrong, because I'm very poser on it yet, heheh, I'm still learning about culture, but even so I venture to talk about it, because I've seen many things in these times...

If a person wears a band shirt, it does not make her a metalhead, if a person wears a cowboy hat, boots and those belts with thsese metal plate, that does not make her a cowboy, if a person wears trendy clothes of korea, does not make her a kapop fã ...
But if a person wears black ... does that make her a Goth?

 In a few years, I was one of those people who did not know anything about Gothic culture, because the meaning of being "gothic" had been lost ... even here was always the internet for "everybody" searching for information ... but that things have changed ... I do not even know how to start this post ...
Well....

* this post is inspired by the drama that is happening between goths and gothic influencers*

Itsblackfriday, I think it's the most famous gothic right now ... but not just her, several people like her, who have active life on the internet (of working as guru/influencer), their content is 90% PR (some are 200% lol) ... you know what I'm talking about

I want you to know that here in Brazil you have these same shit... the gothic/dark inclined influencers... they live on PR and money given by clothing or makeup brands, they advertise brands that are expensive, because they are not just brands ... they are "high fashion labels" for me, because the price of clothes is only expensive because of the brand name, in Brazil there is also this type of store, a friend of my blog in portuguese sent me a link from a store from Brasil, and I was scared by the price, simple clothes, like simple shirts, but because of the brand name, clothing it became expensive, I think it's really stupid, for me what should make a clothes expensive  should be the quality, not a brand name

I see that the bloggers are doing all the time advertising for these brands, and it make their followers upset, making them feel pressured to buy those expensive clothes, or feel embarrassed for not having the money to buy, so..... then accusing the influencers of making the Gothic lifestyle expensive...

 

 Anyone with experience says no, goth is not expensive... they will say that any clothing is valid, no matter where they come from, whether it comes from second hand, or from ordinary stores, the rule is that it fits into each girl's personal style ... and about music, nowadays with the internet, the bands so there almost paying us to listen to them ...
I myself am poor, i live in this reality ... I never bought from the expensive store "specialized public Gothic/dark inclined/alternative" (these high brands), I am still in transition to the dark style ... because I still have pieces of clothing, which I I have never donate it, but I did neve use it again... but i have created affection for the clothes because "x person" gave me with affection and I can not donate 😭😭😭 but what I want to say is that my wardrobe is everything from normal store, those cheap stores, or second-hand clothes, I just searched a lot until I found something that I liked ... nothing inside my wardrobe cost too much ...But the thing is ... all the influencers are all fed with sponsorship, they almost sell the soul ... the goths would not be different

 I'm going to tell you a NON-SECRET, they're not our friends, you know that? What they do on the internet is kind of a job for them ... DID YOU KNOW THAT?
Unlike what you and I do ... we have our time on the internet as a hobby, we do it because we like it, and it helps us to distract from the melancholic days ... but those girls ... as ... hhum. ... THE INFLUENCER ... it's a job for them ... JUST IT

You think they ask themselves, if they should accept this sponsorship or not ... no ... they do not think about the "if" ... they do not think if their audience can not buy, they do not think about us, they just think of earning money ... because they live on it, this is just a way to make money, it's a common job for them

The influencers are lucky and  accumulate a large number of followers
These followers have affection for her
When you have affection for someone, the person gain influence in your life.
The brands see this .... and see a billboard with affection of the public, that means... a more efficient possibility to sell
... and the influencers see an opportunity to profit on the followers... 

it's about money it!
ONLY THAT

INFLUENCES DO NOT LOVE YOU, THEY LOVE THE MONEY 

before they won the dreamed influence, they were people like us ... they bought something or other, sometimes, from normal stores, or they would gather money for a long time to buy something big, and make the diy, or just stay looking with desire without being able to buy
A lot of people take years to create a complete wardrobe, like everyone else ... they were just like everyone else ...

Being dark inclined/gothic/alternative is not expensive, it's a matter of creativity
Who does not have creativity ... has the option to buy the already created, sells in the in these expensive brands... selling expensive ... or just stares without being able to buy
This happens with all styles
There are people from the country style that do not have the money to buy boots, belts, t-shirts ... here in my city there is a lot, I live in a city full of farms and country people, and there are many country style clothing stores, expensive because it is branded, things made of leather, and belts with details in steel or gold, many cowboys are sad because they can not buy, others accept that they are poor and live normally with cheap things, or else people of the ordinary style, where clothes with status are those of brands, or in such a style that is super sought after and there the price goes from 1 to 100 ... AND everyone ends up wanting to buy more than can buy ... is the thing of capitalism, you know

(This is the country style of Brazil, here is called "sertanejo", I do not know if it is the same as the country you live in, but there are many brands specialized in this style ... that are expensive, these people singers of setanejo in Brazil, they are very popular here, and they are wearing very expensive clothes... I know the clothes look simple, but the hats, the belts and the boots are VERY EXPENSIVE)

 

But the girls are angry about the fact that they want and can not buy .... so a little drama is being born

I saw two faces of this subject
One is invalid, the other is valid (in my view, and this is my blog, so my truth is valid here)
The invalid is that there are people putting personal responsibility in influences, blaming them directly on spending money or suffering for having to endure desires that will not be satiated ... you know

What happens with children, you know what how this work, if a child sees another child eating cake, and she can not eat cake too, she gets sick, some get very sick ... there are people who become adults, but she still wants to be treated like one child, she does not want to live in a world where the other has more than she can have, she does not want to live with reality that she can not have everything she wants ... then they blame her in who makes the wish happen
I blame the parents, who raise the children in a bubble, in which they can not pass discomfort, then grow up thinking that no one can make them uncomfortable
... On the other hand I think ... the influencers do not care about us, their job is not to be our nanny, but to be a type of """model""" on the internet, so I think ... they do not deserve my time, if I want see spam of advertising ... I go right on the site of the brand ....
So I do not follow channels/accounts of manny these dark inclined/most famous goths out there, because ... SHIT! for me what they do is all spam, you subscribe to the channel of the person and the only thing that moves it to make content is ... sponsorship, then your feed is full of propaganda, this is SPAM, and I think that they do not deserve fame, they do not try to create something, they just find a way to attract attention, accumulate followers and use it to earn money and free stuff from brands, for me a person of this is just profiting, ... but this become normal in these days...

 You know, you know this is your responsibility to be self-conscious, to know when you can have things OR NOT, and to control yourself 👌👌
It is your responsibility to take care of yourself.
The others persons have their freedom to accumulate and show the things they have ... or they win ... they should not stop or feel bad because you can not have the same ...
If you feel bad seeing these bloggers showing a surreal lifestyle, stop following them, you should know what is bad for you and avoid following such people
You will not die if you do not have the same clothes as them, if you listen to gothic music, you will not stop being gothic for not wearing the same clothes brands as them, you will not miss anything IF YOU LEAVE TO FOLLOW THEM, or better for you, you stop suffering because of futility
If you are easy to influence and spend very easy money, you should be aware of this, YOU SHOULD take care of you, because you pay your bills, not them ... you pay their bills when you give them a view, if you feel that their content is toxic to you ... STOP ATTENTION TO THEM

 When I was in school (going back to the beginning of the text, please understand that my writing style is a mess), when people discovered that I enjoyed metal music, they accused me of liking a gothic thing ... and there were a couple of girls, who are super cute, they just walked together and did not talk to anyone else, all dressed in black, and people accused them of being gothic just because of the color of the clothes...
That's what we thought it was to be Gothic... metal and black clothes
Nowadays neither metal ... and currently neither black is ... what the media thinks about Gothic is: people with dark clothes, chokers and ... when they talk about music, it's sad songs that do not even need to be rock ... neither do they really want to be sad ... they are just ... superficial things

one day a boy came to me and in the middle of the conversation told me that he was a gothic "too" (I'm not goth, but people think I am, because I wear black clothes lol), and in that we would have something in common, I asked him what kind of music he liked, and he was confused by the question, as if there was no sense in asking this... then I said that if he was a gothic, he should listen to gothic music, uh... he told me that he enjoyed things like lana dey rey ​​(the only name I knew and I remember, but something like that)... and I... You know the Goths in the past got all pissed off with fans of Nigthwish type band, because they called themselves Goths, and the Goths "THEY ARE NOT GOThS, WE ARE", I wonder how these Goths react to knowing that ... neither metal, or rock ... YOU DONT NEEDS MUSIC ANYMORE, NOTHING NOTHING ... GOTH HAS BECOME SOMETHING FUTILE IN THE EYES OF THE WORLD

The Gothic has years of complete culture, was music, literature, history that came from centuries ago as inspiration inspiration ...

Recorders only invest in pop, because of the easy money, they would never invest in a style that does not make more money, simple
This means... you can not live more of gothic music if you are a beginner... gothic music has become a bad market to invest time, if you insiste in investing, it is just loss of money
And worse, many of these iconic bands ARE DYING, or will die, or have entered an eternal limbo, like my favorites, who say they are still working but do not do something new for years, some at most 2007, there are others that do not survived the passage of the 2000s
This helps kill the gothic, because we no longer have reference to what is gothic ... just like clothes
And that IS GREAT for the capitalist side
The brands are appropriating over the culture... as futile as possible, they do anything that is black and have skulls or stamped bats and say it's gothic, because since there is no more music for reference, they can call it gothic, they can call anything gothic

The first thing they do is ask "I can be gothic without listening to gothic music" and they get upset when they hear a "no"
YOU CAN NOT BE METALHEAD WITHOUT METAL MUSIC
WHY WOULD YOU BE GOTHIC WITHOUT GOTHIC MUSIC??

As I'm saying, Gothic has lost its real essence for the mainstrean... and turned into something/anything black ...
Each one is interpreting as it wants ... most sees as black clothes
But there are a lot of people who also see how "being different", "being wild", "being intelligent" [because there are people who think people with different styles as smarter, because they do not follow the majority ... but like ... if the person does not even know the culture that wants to represent/be part of ??????? INTELLIGENT???]
The person wants to be gothic
they want:
- She wants to look different
- She wants to be interpreted as different person
She wants to look wild.
But she does not want to listen to the songs and support the bands.
She does not want to go to the gothic parties and give support to community
She does not want to be part of the real community.
She wants to be gothic on the internet
There are some who do not even want to use such a style in real life, you know, she only does it on the internet, just to get some attention, and in real life she dresses in a common way, while listening to pop music

How do you want to be part of something, that you do not give support ???

Many goths did not realize this, and they get confused when someone gets angry because they deny them that they are not gothic if they do not identify with the gothic culture ... and so what happens ... They are called "annoying people"

Yes, there is the annoying gothic, EVERYBODY HAS ALREADY SEEN SOME, there are people who say that to be gothic you have to listen to just a few X bands, and the rest is poser
I'm poser to many people for just enjoying gothic rock and dark wave of the universe and not care to other genres, and in this i not enjoy a lot of band famous for the community ...
This people that makes a list of personal band and uses like ... as classification of is or is not gothic, are also others that kill the gothic, because that scare many people and limits much the culture
For example, it's not because I like metal that I have to enjoy all the bands ... and worse, there are annoyng people in the metalheads group too, to believe that you NEED to enjoy classic songs, and that bands with female vocals is everything poser ... these kind of people are unnecessarily annoyng and unhealthy and toxic to the community
But folks ... IT'S NORMAL THAT KIND OF PEOPLE

These girls who wear black, but do not listen Gothic, they DO NOT CONTRIBUTE IN ANYTHING TO GOTICAL CULTURE
These brands, brands like killstar, DO NOT CONTRIBUTE IN ANYTHING TO GOTICAL CULTURE
